GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Mechanical carriages are moved by means of a mechanical assist chain and sprocket gear box, which employs gear ratios to ease the work load, and allows users to move several thousand pounds easily. This mobility allows for compaction of the units while remaining accessible on demand. The compaction allows for substantial savings in floor space.
QUALIFICATIONS: The CMA series system shall be furnished and installed only by those firms engaging in the manufacture of mobile storage products. The entire system shall be warranted by the manufacturer against defective parts and/or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from final acceptance.

PRODUCTS:
Mechanical Assist:
- The mechanical assist drive unit frame housing is made from 12-gage steel and is galvanized for rust prevention.
- Our standard drive unit has a ratio of 4:1.
- A roller chain connects sprockets and has adjustable idlers to maintain proper tension.
- A three prong handle with rotating knob provides smooth movement for the carriage.
- Anti-Drift System is designed to prevent the carriage from drifting.
- A simple pull to move and push to lock is incorporated into the handle assembly.
- Covers are constructed of 16-gage steel and are powder coated.
- The carriage is driven by center wheels that are connected by a drive shaft.
- The drive shaft is constructed from schedule 80 cold rolled steel tubing. This shaft delivers direct drive power transmission to the center wheel in each channel.
- The carriage is constructed from 8-gage galvanized steel formed channels and 3" x 3" x 1/4" galvanized steel angles. These are bolted together with 3/8" grade 8 bolts.
- All steel channels house two outside idler wheels and one center drive wheel.
- Universal rack mounting brackets attach the rack to carriage.
- Each wheel is 3-1/2" solid 1018 steel, and utilizes a 1-3/4" O.D. heavy duty roller bearings.
- Bearings are lifetime lubricated and sealed.
- Concave design track made from solid 1018 steel, engineered and precision milled specifically for mating with the wheels.
- Track is 3-1/2" wide and 3/8" high. The steel is black oxidized for appearance and rust protection.
- The track is 100% ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant.
- All tracks are attached to the floor every 15". Track is shipped in 4' sections.
- Track stops prevent carriages from track run off.
- Capacity:
- CMA Series 8 carriage assembly is rated for a maximum of 8,000lbs per rack/shelf assembly. A rack/shelf assembly is defined as two uprights (columns) and connecting beams.
WARRANTY:
- The carriage assemble will be warranted by the manufacturer against defective parts and /or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from final acceptance.
- Track is warranted for five (5) years from final acceptance.
EXECUTION:
Units to be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions, and conducted by a factory trained certified technician.
